Medal count by country in the Men's Long Jump at the Summer Olympics 1896-2020
The Men's Long Jump has been held at all Summer Olympics since the inaugural games in 1896. Athletes from the United States have, by far, been the most successful in this event; winning 22 out of a possible 29 gold medals (79 percent), and 47 overall medals (56 percent). The most successful athlete in this event is Carl Lewis, who won four back-to-back golds between 1984 and 1996. No athlete has ever been stripped of a medal won in this event.
