Parkinson's disease cognitive changes experienced in the U.S. in 2018
This statistic displays the percentage of U.S. individuals diagnosed with Parkinson's disease (PD) that experienced select cognitive changes as of 2018. According to the survey, 75 percent of PD patients experienced changes in their concentration/attention span. Parkinson's disease is a degenerative disorder that affects the nerve cells in the brain that produce dopamine. This causes muscle issues, tremors, speech changes, etc. There is currently no cure for Parkinson's disease.
