This statistic displays the percentage of U.S. individuals diagnosed with Parkinson's disease (PD) that experienced select symptoms as of 2017, by gender. According to the survey 73 percent of men and 68 percent of women experienced tremors or shaking associated with their PD. Parkinson's disease is a degenerative disorder that affects the nerve cells in the brain that produce dopamine. This causes muscle issues, tremors, speech changes, etc. There is currently no cure for Parkinson's disease.
