Uninsured U.S. children percentage and rate by family poverty 2022
In 2022, some 20.7 percent of all uninsured children were from families with a household income below the Federal poverty level (FPL), while the uninsured rate within the same group was 6.6 percent, the second highest of all poverty levels. However, most of these children were actually eligible for Medicaid or CHIP since the median income eligibility for children was at 255% FPL.
