In a survey from Rakuten Insight conducted in February 2024 in Asia, 86 percent of consumers from Vietnam said that they had tried plant-based food alternatives, which was the highest percentage in the region. In contrast, 46 percent of the surveyed individuals in Japan stated to have consumed plant-based food alternatives as of February of the same year.
