According to a survey on plant-based alternatives conducted in January 2023 in Australia, South Australia, New South Wales and Victoria were the leading states open to substituting meat/dairy products with plant-based alternatives, with approximately 40 percent of consumers agreeing to do so in each state. The lowest rate was shown in Tasmania, where 31 percent of respondents were open to trying meat/dairy alternatives.
