Index base period: 2021=100

The producer price index (PPI) measures the average changes of selling prices received by domestic producers for their output. The PPI is calculated by the Department of Statistics of the Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics of Taiwan. It covers 639 selected commodities and takes 2021 as a base year (2021=100). The index is re-based every five years and the weights are adjusted every two to three years.

All data are subject to revision three months after original publication.
