Social interaction & isolation among older U.S. adults during COVID, 2020, by gender
As of August 2020, the majority of adults 50 and older knew that increased social isolation can have a significant impact on someone's mental and physical health, although women were more knowledgeable. Furthermore, around 40 percent of both older men and women said they have lost touch with many people since the COVID-19 pandemic.
