Hong Kong: main payment methods for purchasing luxury goods online 2019

According to the survey on luxury goods purchases, around 73 percent of surveyed luxury buyers from Hong Kong said they used credit cards to pay for their online luxury purchases. Only 34 percent of respondents from Hong Kong chose to pay through Alipay.

Original question: What are your payment methods for online purchase?

The survey was conducted among respondents who were:
42 percent male and 58 percent female;
Eight percent below 25 years old, 40 percent between 26 and 35 years old, 26 percent between 36 and 45 years old, and 26 percent aged 46 years or above.
36 percent from New Territories, 31 percent from Kowloon, and 33 percent from Hong Kong Island.

The annual average household income among the respondents was 997,360 Hong Kong dollar. One Hong Kong dollar equals 0.13 U.S. dollars and 0.11 euros (as of September 2020).
The average age of the respondents was 38.1 years old.
