U.S. Producer Price Index for finished goods 12-month changes 2023-2024
In March 2024, the PPI for finished goods increased by 1.9 percent compared to the same month in the previous year.
Finished goods are commodities that will not undergo further processing and are ready for sale to the final-demand user, either an individual consumer or business firm. The Producer Price Index (PPI) program measures the average change over time in the selling prices received by domestic producers for their output. The prices included in the PPI are from the first commercial transaction for many products and some services.
