Key consumer sentiments toward adopting a sustainable lifestyle Australia 2023
In a 2023 survey conducted among Australian consumers regarding their sentiments toward adopting a sustainable lifestyle, almost every eight in 10 respondents expressed the belief that brands need to take responsibility to protect the state of the planet. Around 67 percent of those surveyed said they can't improve the state of the planet on their own, and that brand responsibility and intervention are essential. Better prices for and greater availability of sustainable products, as well as better education on sustainable options, were among the efforts consumers believed would help them to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle.
