Multi-person households were asked to assess their tendency to spend on durable consumer goods in monthly surveys, with an index of 50 points hinting at a neutral sentiment. The results of the past year revealed low enthusiasm toward durable consumer goods purchases among Japanese households, despite the gradual shift towards optimism in 2024.
