Electricity generation from oil and petroleum products in Kenya 2000-2022
Kenya generated 1.3 terawatt hours of electricity from fossil fuels, including oil, petroleum products, manufactured gases, and waste, in 2022. The amount decreased from 1.4 terawatt hours in the previous year. During the period observed, the electricity output from fossil energy oscillated and peaked at 2.9 terawatt hours in 2009.
