In 2001, parent-company Davide Campari-Milano S.p.A. began trading its shares in the Italian Stock Exchange. That year, Gruppo Campari acquired Skyy Spirits LLC, vendor of the SKYY Vodka brand. SKYY Vodka was listed as one of the best-selling vodka brands in the world in 2017. In 2009, the company added Wild Turkey, a premium Kentucky bourbon whiskey to its brand portfolio, thus reinforcing its position in the U.S. premium spirits market. Moreover, the Americas accounted for nearly 44 percent of Gruppo Campari’s net sales as of December 31, 2017.
In 2017, the firm’s total net sales exceeded two billion U.S. dollars. SKYY Vodka, Aperol, Campari and Wild Turkey accounted for the majority of the group’s net sales that year. The beverage giant spent about 22.5 million Euros on advertising space in 2017. On August 1, 2016, the company named actor Matthew McConaughey as Wild Turkey's new creative director.
