Impressions of Roger Moore as James Bond in the U.S. 2018, by age group
Roger Moore featured in seven films within the franchise, taking over from Sean Connery. The actor's first Bond film was 'Live and Let Die' in 1973. Despite the continued popularity of his predecessor and the differences between his and Connery's portrayals of the character, Moore's interpretation of the role was praised by critics. Moore also played James Bond in 'Octopussy', the first ever Bond film to be released by MGM. In 1985, the actor retired from the role of James Bond with 'A View to a Kill', which received mixed reviews partially due to Moore being considered too old for the role.
Roger Moore passed away aged 89, having pursued smaller projects as he grew older and receiving a number of lifetime achievement awards and recognition for his acting and charity work.
