This statistic depicts the results of a survey about consumer attitudes to robotics and automation in the workplace in Australia in 2017, by age. During the survey period, respondents across all three age groups stated that they did not believe a robot would be any better than themselves at their job. Out of those, 37 percent of 18 to 24 year olds, 36 percent of 30-44 year olds and 59 percent of respondents aged 45 and older gave this answer. By comparison, 13 percent of 18 to 29 year olds, 15 percent of 30 to 44 year olds and eight percent of respondents aged 45 years and older said that a robot would be better than them at their job.
