Natura &Co currently owns the largest market share among the leading cosmetics and personal care manufacturers in Brazil. The group is headquartered in São Paulo and operates in over 70 countries. Until 2023, they owned the brands Aesop and The Body Shop. Now, they own their brand, Natura, and Avon International, a company they acquired in 2021 that makes up over 20 percent of the group’s revenue. In 2022, Natura &Co also ranked second in a list of the leading direct selling companies globally, with a revenue of close to seven billion U.S. dollars.

The cosmetics and personal care industry is one of the most prominent in Brazil, providing more than 144 thousand direct jobs in 2023. That year, some 1,414 companies in the beauty and personal care industry were registered in the state of São Paulo alone. In addition, the market is mostly dominated by domestic companies, among which names like Grupo Boticário are globally renowned.
