Italy: preferences for selected food labels in 2017 by gender
This statistic shows the degree of preference for food products with certain labels among the Italian adult population in 2017, broken down by gender. According to the study results, while the majority of men and women tend to avoid preservatives, color additives and GMOs, Italian men tend to buy more sugar-free and salt-free food products than Italian women. Women are more interested in food labels: only one in five declared not to be influenced by them, compared to a third of male respondents.
