As of 2015, contraception pills were the most frequently used medicines by youth aged between 12 to 17 years old, with roughly 126,000 users. Methylphenidate, a medicine used for the treatment of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), had approximately 73,000 users, whereas Desloratadine, a medicine used to treat allergies, had roughly 9,000 users less than Methylphenidate.
