Although gender-based violence against women can occur on a physical level, such violence can also be sexual or psychological. According to this survey, contrasting opinions regarding gender-based violence were found in Luxembourg in 2016. Whilst 21 percent of respondents believed violence against women was often provoked by the victim, 73 percent of respondents believed this not to be true.
