This statistic displays the fuel use from Combined Heat and Power (CHP) schemes in the United Kingdom (UK) from 2010 to 2018, by fuel type, in gigawatt hours. It shows that the amount of renewable fuels used in CHP schemes increased significantly over this period, from 6,532 gigawatt hours in 2010 to 16,078 gigawatt hours in 2018. The use of natural gas decreased notably over this period, but is still by far the largest fuel source in CHP installations.
