The Sunday Trading Act in the UK allows large shops (including supermarkets and department stores), to open for up to six hours on Sundays. If the laws are relaxed, 60 percent agree that shop workers will be forced to work longer hours and 57 percent agree that the quality of workers' family life will suffer.
