B&Q total sales in the United Kingdom (UK) and Ireland 2010-2022
In the financial year 2021/22 , annual sales at the British DIY brand B&Q amounted to about 4.18 billion British pounds, marking the highest amount in the time period under consideration. B&Q is one of the many brands that the home improvement company Kingfisher plc owns, trading at store locations both in the UK and Ireland.
Parent company continues making profit
Despite B&Q’s underwhelming sales performance, its parent company is doing rather well. Over the last few years, Kingfisher showed an impressive improvement on profit from its retail operations. Besides B&Q, Kingfisher’s retail portfolio includes another DIY and hardware brand Screwfix, which is active only in the UK.

Stagnant sales figures aside, B&Q is one of the most well-known brands in the UK. In 2018, the retailer had the highest brand awareness among UK consumers in the DIY category. B&Q’s closer rival was Wickes, which is another subsidiary owned by building materials retailer Travis Perkins.
