Opinion on pregnant women drinking alcoholic beverages by age group - U.S. 2014
This statistic depicts the opinion of U.S. respondents on whether or not pregnant women can drink one or two alcoholic beverages in a week in 2014, sorted by age group. Based on this survey, 68 percent of those surveyed between 30 and 44 years old said it was not okay for women to drink alcohol while pregnant. Drinking alcohol while pregnant can cause birth defects as well as cause possible developmental problems. Drinking alcohol during pregnancy has also been associated with miscarriages, heart defects, and learning and behavioral disorders in the unborn baby.
