Monthly UK inbound business trips 2023

The number of international business visits in the United Kingdom increased overall in 2023 compared to the previous year. In September 2023, there were roughly 690 thousand business visits registered, which represents an increase of 22 percent versus the same month of the previous year.

Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, no data were collected between the second and third quarters of 2020. For that period, figures refer to estimates and models based on passenger numbers and IPS trend data.

Data from 2021 do not include estimates for visits across the Irish land border. No data for the Eurotunnel was gathered from January 2021 to June 2022 but estimates include the passenger numbers using that route.
