Hotel rates

Average daily rates (ADRs) of hotels differ considerably depending on the region. In 2018, consumers paid just under 140 U.S. dollars per night on average when staying in Europe, while hotels in the Asia Pacific region had an ADR of approximately 107 U.S. dollars per night. ADRs are not the same all year round. For instance, hotel prices in the Middle East and Africa are usually at their highest during the Christmas period. Comparatively, European hotel rates tend to be at their highest during the summer months and at their lowest during winter.

Marriott brand

With a brand value of just over five billion U.S. dollars, Marriott was one of the leading hotel brands worldwide in 2019. Marriott International intends to further fuel its growth, with the acquisition of Elegant Hotels Group, which owns and operates luxury hotel properties in Barbados.
