Raw materials per capita consumption volume in the EU 2010-2022, by type
Non-metallic minerals accounted for the largest volume of the European Union's (EU) overall per capita consumption of raw materials in 2022, at more than 7.5 metric tons per capita. In 2022, the EU consumed a total of nearly 14.83 metric tons per capita of raw materials including biomass, metals ores, non-metallic minerals, and fossil energy materials. This represented an increase of almost 200 kilograms per capita in comparison to the EU's total per capita raw material consumption in 2021.
