India: preferred format for online news consumption 2023

According to a survey conducted in India in March 2023, about three-quarters of digital news consumers in the country mostly preferred video formats for news access. In contrast, 11 percent of the respondents in India stated that they primarily received their news through audio formats during the same period. India is one of the largest markets for video consumption with YouTube leading the segment.
