Freedom of expression score in Libya 2000-2022
In 2022, Libya scored 40 points in the Global Expression Report (GxR). This was higher than the previous year by one point. The country's score considerably increased in 2011 and even further in 2012, reaching its highest point (52 points) over the observed period. Since then, the score has been following a decreasing trend. GxR ranks countries based on the openness of the society, with a higher score being given to countries with more freedom of expression.
