Impact of AfCFTA on total unskilled employment in Côte d'Ivoire 2020-2035
Under African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) initiatives, total unskilled employment in Côte d'Ivoire is expected to increase from 6.6 million in 2020 to over nine million by 2035. In terms of gender, the volume of male workers might exceed that of women. The AfCFTA agreement officially entered into force in May 2019, after 22 African countries ratified it. The implementation sought to boost inter-regional trade.
