Number of COVID-19 vaccine doses received in Libya 2022, by source
As of January 2022, Libya received a total of over 3.4 million doses of coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine. Most vaccine doses, amounting to nearly 2.7 million, were received through bilateral agreements. The COVAX initiative led by the United Nations provided the country with around 753 thousand doses. Contrary to other African countries, Libya did not receive any doses through the African Union’s African Vaccine Acquisition Trust (AVAT).
