Main national parks in Tanzania 2020
Nyerere is the largest national park in Tanzania, with an area of more than 30,000 square kilometers. The extent corresponds to about the size of Rwanda, one of Tanzania's neighboring countries. With roughly 20,000 square kilometers, the Ruaha National Park is the second biggest in the country. Moreover, Serengeti, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most famous parks in Africa, stretches over nearly 14,800 square kilometers.
