Likelihood of shoppers since Covid-19 to buy local or organic food in Ireland 2020
Since Covid-19, organic food is being purchased more often by 25 percent of grocery shoppers in Ireland. When asked about the choice between locally produced Irish food over organic food, 67 percent of respondents claimed they would rather purchase food that has been locally produced. Organic food purchasing has increased slightly since Covid-19, but still only eight percent of shoppers would purchase organic food over locally produced Irish food.
