A study assessed the emissions generated by the purchase of an average non-food product in Europe. The comparison between several commodities showed that fashion e-commerce generated the highest emissions. In this category as well as in the other ones taken into consideration, France appeared to be the most sustainable country, emitting an average of 397 grams of CO2.
