According to a 2022 survey, most households in the Philippines resided in houses with outer walls made of concrete, brick, or stone. Meanwhile, about 13 percent of respondents had houses with exterior walls made of wood. In contrast, less than 0.5 percent of Filipino households lived in homes with makeshift, salvaged, or improvised materials as outer walls.
