Quantity of honey produced in Morocco 2019, by selected geographical area
As of 2019, the Souss Massa area produced honey amounting to nearly 1.32 metric tons, comprising approximately 1.23 metric tons of thyme honey, and 90 metric tons of euphorbia honey. Additionally, the Tadla-Azilal region and the Bouiblane massif produced honey reaching a volume of 300 and 62 metric tons, respectively. Honey from regions in Morocco is used for medicinal and culinary purposes as well as in cosmetics.
