In 2022, approximately 1,476 patients were diagnosed with prostate cancer in Panama, making it the most common type of cancer among newly diagnosed people that year. This was followed by breast cancer and colorectum cancer, with 1,476 and 820 cases, respectively. That year, cervix uteri cancer accounted for 371 cases.
