Prices of imported and domestic wheat Saudi Arabia 2013-2018
In 2018, imports of wheat in Saudi Arabia had a price of 243 U.S. dollars per metric ton, compared to 303 U.S. dollars per metric tons in 2013. Within the Middle East and North Africa region, animal products, dairy, beverages and tobacco have higher tariffs than other products. Tariffs increase prices for domestic consumers and producers reducing competitiveness.
