Most important audio initiatives for publishers worldwide 2020
A survey conducted in late 2019 among publishing leaders worldwide explored the importance of certain audio initiatives in the industry, and found that 53 percent of participants considered daily news podcasts and chat interview podcasts to be key initiatives for their businesses in 2020. By contrast, spoken word material was considered the least crucial business initiative among publishers. Podcasts are considered important as they can help to attract younger audiences and generate additional revenue, and will likely feature more and more in the publishing industry in years to come.
