According to a December 2020 survey of U.S. adults, only 13 percent of male respondents and 7 percent of female respondents felt very comfortable with tech companies sharing their location data, including where they had traveled, with the government so that the government could better track Americans' locations. Additionally, 42 percent of male respondents and 52 percent of female respondents felt very uncomfortable with this idea.
