In 2018, newspaper advertising made up the largest share of ad spend in Malaysia, at 31.6 percent, while total digital media ad spend came in second at 28.6 percent. Newspaper ad spend was however predicted to decline in the next two years, with digital ad spend predicted to overtake newspaper ad spend in 2019.
