Snap election was the most feasible option to overcome the government crisis in Italy according to almost half of Italians surveyed about this issue in August 2019. Furthermore, 30.6 percent of eligible voters believed that a new short government was what should have come next, in order to promulgate the budget law and to cut the number of parliamentarians. On the other hand, 11.6 percent of population entitled to vote believed that a government formed due to a coalition between the political forces Partito Democratico (PD), Movimento 5 Stelle (M5S) and Liberi e Uguali (Leu) would have been a possible solution for resolving the crisis.
