Eastcost offshore had by far the highest remaining established crude oil reserves in Canada as of 2019. Eastcost offshore reserves were from light crude oil and stood at some 381.5 million cubic meters. Alberta had the second largest light crude oil reserve in the country and the largest heavy crude oil reserve, at 206.2 million and 63.6 million cubic meters, respectively.
