Penetration of audiobook consumption in the U.S. 2018-2019, by household income
In a 2019 survey, 30 percent of respondents coming from a household earning more than 75 thousand U.S. dollars annually stated they had listened to at least one audiobook in the previous 12 months, seven percent more than said the same a year earlier. Meanwhile, individuals with a much lower income than this were less likely to have listened to an audiobook in the last year.
