Share of women who feel empowered through their hair in Africa 2022, by country
In 2022, a survey conducted in selected African countries about women's beauty perceptions found that most women in all the surveyed countries felt that a good hairstyle was empowering. The country with the highest share was Nigeria with 94 percent. On the other hand, Togo was the country with the lowest rate of this perspective. However, the share was still relatively high at 69 percent.
