Share of cereal imports in domestic use in Africa 2010-2030
Cereal imports in Africa play a key role in domestic consumption. In the period between 2018 and 2020, imports accounted for 33.2 percent of the domestic use, increasing from the 32.1 percent in 2010-2012. By 2030, the share of cereal imports in African domestic consumption might grow to nearly 40 percent, according to the source's estimates.
