Selected COVID-19 mobile apps open rate 2021
In 2021, the Malaysian contact tracing app MySejahtera saw an open rate of 92 percent. The Tawakkalna mobile app developed and launched in Saudi Arabia in May 2020, saw an open rate of 88 percent during the last measured year. By comparison, the Bluezone mobile app, used in Vietnam, and the Indian Aarogya Setu saw open rates lower than 50 percent in 2021. In 2020, numerous COVID-19 apps were developed around the world to help map and stop the virus transmission via contact tracing.
