According to a 2022 survey of app developers worldwide, approximately 70 percent of respondents increased their budget size for user acquisition campaigns. Increasing in reach and geographies to acquire new users also appeared to be a popular strategy among app developers, with 58 percent of respondents indicating they did so for their latest user acquisition campaigns. Shifting the focus on a different format used also appeared to be popular: 56 percent of app developers reported shifting towards the video format.
