People's understanding of COVID-19 infection in Tunisia 2021
As of February 2021, nearly 60 percent of the surveyed population in Tunisia believed that the coronavirus (COVID-19) would affect many people in the country. According to the results of the same survey conducted through telephone interviews, only a third of Tunisians thought that their health would be seriously affected by the disease in case of infection. Moreover, perceptions of the risk of infection were low, with only 22 percent of respondents considering having a high personal risk of contracting the virus.
