Number of ozone peak days in selected Italian cities 2018
In 2018, Brescia was the Italian city with the worst ozone pollution: that year, the European concentration limit of 120 micrograms per cubic meter (for eight consecutive hours) was exceeded on 103 days. Except for Avellino, all the cities in the list are located in the Po Valley, which is one of the regions with the worst air quality in Europe.
